Hello,

I was wondering if it is possible with Zapier to use it to update Shopify Customer Data?

We are collecting Billing phone numbers and we want those added as the customer’s Contact phone numbers so we can automate event reminders. Is it possible to do with Zapier?

The Shopify app has an Update Customer action that would allow you to update the customers phone number.

That said, you’d likely need to use a Find Customer action before that in order to locate the customer that needs to be updated first. Then in the Customer field (on the Update Customer action) you’d choose the Custom value option and select the ID field from the Find Customer action.

This will allow Shopify to make sure it updates the correct customer with the new phone number details. If you’ve not used custom values in Zaps before you can find out more about them here: Add custom values to dropdown menu fields in Zaps
