Hi! I’m trying to create a flow in Zapier that updates an Excel sheet. However, I don’t want to overwrite the same cell each time. Instead, I’d like Zapier to always update the same row (for example, row 2), but shift one column to the right each day.
For example:
Day 1 → Row 2, Column A
Day 2 → Row 2, Column B
Day 3 → Row 2, Column C
Is it possible to set this up in Zapier with Excel? If so, what’s the best way to structure the flow?

The Microsoft Excel app doesn’t have any actions to allow you to automatically update a different column based on the day. Not sure what the spreadsheet looks like or what the conditions are behind day 1 = column A, does each column relate to the day of the week, or the number in the month e.g. 26th = column Z?
Potentially you might be able to use a Code step to help work out the logic for which column should be updated. But I wonder if you might be able to use Zapier Agents to do this - potentially it could be used to make a decision about which column it should update in Excel based on the day or perhaps the next column that is empty? 🤔
