Question

Update Google Sheets when new product is added to Salesforce opportunity

I have zaps set up to

  1. Create a new row on Google Sheets when a new opportunity is created on Salesforce
  2. Search for, and update, the relevant row on Google Sheets when an opportunity is updated on Salesforce

I would like to either update the zap(s) I have or create (a) new zap(s) to have the Google Sheet updated whenever a new Salesforce Product is added to an existing opportunity. However, I’m not sure which data value this is on Salesforce.

Hi @rachlee

Good question.

Sounds like Products are linked to Opportunities in Salesforce.

Therefore, it’s like the linked Products would show as an array of items on the Opportunity data returned.

This array of items is likely going to be the internal Product IDs from Salesforce.

So, you’ll probably have to use a Salesforce Find Record step in the Zap to get more data points related to the Product.

The Looping app can be used to handle 1+ line items in an array: https://zapier.com/apps/looping/integrations
