Unauthorized Charge & Refund Refusal – Is This Legal?

Hi Zapier Team & Community,

I recently noticed that Zapier charged my credit card for a subscription renewal, even though I stopped using the service a long time ago. Just because my card was still linked doesn’t mean I authorized this payment.

I contacted support, but they refused to refund me. This is unacceptable—many U.S. and government institutions protect consumers' right to refunds, especially for services they no longer use. Deducting money without explicit consent is not legally or ethically justified.

If Zapier continues to ignore my request, I’ll have no choice but to escalate this through my bank (chargeback) and consumer protection agencies. I’d appreciate a prompt resolution.

Has anyone else faced this issue? How did you resolve it?

Did this topic help you find an answer to your question?

Hi @Yassir.Boumezzourh,

I'm sorry for the inconvenience you're facing. At Zapier, we strive to provide fair and transparent service, including an automatic subscription renewal policy to ensure continuous service. However, we are not able to see or process any refunds here in the Community. I suggest to contact our Zapier support team so they could investigate this issue.
