Hi! I’m hoping someone can help me before I pull out all my hair. I’ve been struggling for 8 hours and not getting anywhere.
I’m trying to set up 2 zaps.
ZAP 1: When someone in our Pipedrive CRM registers for our zoom webinar - I want to update their Pipedrive contact section so two custom fields I just created are filled - one with zoom unique URL and the other with Status showing registered. I’m not clear on how to map this. Trigger is Zoom Registered. Action is simply update persons or two steps - find person and then update person? Do I have to map all sections out or just so it searches by email and updates accordingly?
Also if they cancel after, should there be another zap?
ZAP 2: I want to create a second zap so when they attend the zoom webinar, zoom will update a another custom contact field showing they attended - blank if they didn’t.
Can someone help?

It sounds like you’re on the right track with your Zap setups 🙌
For Zap 1, the setup could look like this:
- Trigger - Zoom - New Webinar Registrant
- Action - Pipedrive - Find Person (search by the Zoom registrant’s email)
- Action - Pipedrive - Update Person
On the Update Person action, you only need to add data to the fields you want to update (Zoom URL and Status). We’ve also got this really helpful guide on mapping data between steps https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496343026701-Send-data-between-steps-by-mapping-fields.
For your second Zap, the workflow would be the same as Zap 1 except the trigger would be Zoom’s “New Participant Joined Webinar or Meeting”.
At the moment, the Zoom integration doesn’t have a “Cancelled Registrant” trigger but I’ve added your details to a feature request for that and we’ll let you know if this becomes available in the future.
