I have a spreadsheet with multiple rows of data. One column is dates. I want Zapier to check daily and do an action if a date = today. Is this possible?
Hey
If you want to build Zaps that run on a schedule, like once a day, you can use the Schedule by Zapier app as the trigger. Then you can add a Lookup Spreadsheet Rows step in Google Sheets, and use the date returned by the Schedule trigger as the lookup value.
Please note that the lookup can only return up to 500 rows per search.
I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
Hi
Here are other approaches:
- Airtable
- Trigger: New Record
- Select a View
- Zap will trigger when a record moves into the View
- In Airtable configure a View with Filter conditions where DATE = Today
- Info about Views in Airtable: https://support.airtable.com/docs/getting-started-with-airtable-views
- Triggers/actions: https://zapier.com/apps/airtable/integrations#triggers-and-actions

Hi
Would you be available to privately walk me through this? I’d be happy to tip you for your time.
Thank you
Hi
Don’t worry about it! I am more than happy to continue assisting you over this thread
The error message indicates that there were no matching rows found in Google Sheets based on the lookup value. Could you share a screenshot of the Lookup Spreadsheet Rows step configuration? Make sure to blur out any sensitive information before sending it over.
Additionally, are the dates in the worksheet in the same format as the lookup value in the Zap?
Once we can refine those details, the Zap will be up and running!
I’ll keep an eye out for your response.
