Todoist has task descriptions in public beta now about to be released publicly any day now. I emailed to Zapier support to let them know and tweeted to Todoist because this would be great to get the Zaps updated to include this feature.
Until then, anyone have a workaround? Todoist already supports this in their API but I don’t know how to code something complicated when this should eventually come to Zapier as an official thing. Just also don’t want to wait for whenever that may be.

It’s going to depend on who owns the Todoist Zap app integration.
FYI: The majority of new apps connected to Zapier are built and maintained by the app developers themselves using Zapier's developer platform.

This should be doable currently using the Todoist API: https://developer.todoist.com/rest/v1/#adding-a-new-task
App APIs can be used in Zap steps with the Webhooks app: https://zapier.com/apps/webhook/integrations#triggers-and-actions
NOTE: You can find your personal token in the integrations settings view of the Todoist web app and replace the token value in the samples.
