So I wanted to automate the time spent or duration of tasks on TMetric and log them to a Google sheet. I have set up the steps successfully. But when I logged off, I thought the timer would stop at that point, but it didn’t. It kept running. Below is the outline of the zap:

Hi @nikocena

Good question.

Can you clarify where you log off from?

Even if the time did stop, what were you expecting to happen in the Zap?

Hello @Troy Tessalone

Thank you for responding!

I logged off from TMetric. But the timer still runs and continues to log the time duration.

In Google Sheets. 3rd Column is the End Time and 4th Column is the Duration

I expect the zap to stop recording the time when I stop my TMetric timer.

@nikocena

TMetric only has 1 trigger event which what you are using to fire the Zap.

A separate Zap would have to be configured Stop Timer that is uses a different trigger event.

Your Zap steps:

Got it, @Troy Tessalone.

Although I have tried adding a Stop Timer action in the Zap. But the TMetric timer stops every minute.

Any ideas? Do I need an Conditional step or, something?

@nikocena

If you are trying to have a Zap that starts the time and logs to the GSheet, and another Zap that stops the time and logs to the GSheet, then those would need to be separate Zaps.

It probably means the TMetric API would have to be used for the other Zap: https://app.tmetric.com/api-docs/

App APIs can be used in Zaps with the Webhooks app: https://zapier.com/apps/webhook/integrations
