Hello Zapier Community!

I use Atlassian Jira Cloud to manage my appointments, and my client can browse my available times in my Google Calendar. When a client books a time slot in Google, I manually create a task in Jira for the matching date and time.

However, there are cases when a client will change the date and time, and I want to keep Jira and the Google Calendar in sync. If the client changes it in GCal, the Jira issue needs to be updated, or if I change the Jira entry, then the Gcal entry needs to be updated.

Any other ideas on how to keep these two in sync or a solution to the update scenario above would be appreciated!

Hi @Coach Charles,

Welcome to the Community.

To connect Google Calendar with Jira bidirectionally using Zapier, set up Google Calendar as a trigger to detect updates and modify corresponding Jira issues. Then, configure Jira to trigger updates in Google Calendar when issue details change. Use unique identifiers to match events and issues accurately. Test each step thoroughly, adding error handling and filters to refine the process. This automation ensures seamless synchronization, keeping both platforms updated effortlessly.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Hi @Coach Charles, just checking in! 👋

Did Jammer’s reply help to point you in the right direction?

If you got stuck at all, feel free to share a few screenshots of your Zap setup to help us see where you’re at and we’ll go from there! Be sure to to blur/remove any personal details (like names or email addresses etc.) using a tool like Zappy before posting.

Happy to lend a hand if you need any more help, want to make sure you’re all set! 🙂

Thank you Jammer and Sam. The idea helped immensely!
