Syncing Constant Contact email data with Salesforce Contacts and Leads

I am very new to both Salesforce and Zapier. We’re trying to find a way to flow our Constant Contact email data (campaign opens, link clicks, etc) into Salesforce. Ideally automatically updating our Salesforce Contacts/Leads with their latest email engagement activity from our Constant Contact. Are there steps or instructions somewhere? I am lost. Thank you!

Hi

Yes this is possible. Broadly:

  • You’d set up zaps with Constant Contact triggers for various events - there are your options:
  • Then a Salesforce “Find Record” step - you’d search using email address.
  • Then a Salesforce “Update Record” step - referencing the ID of the contact found and then updating the fields as needed.

If you get stuck I’m happy to help here or over DMs.

Hey @BradfordMarketing,

There are of of ways how you can automate Constant Contact and Salesforce using Zapier but your sample workflow will look like this-

  • New Email Open trigger
  • Update Contact Salesforce action

You can probably pass the email address of the contact in Update contact action. This is a sample workflow and you may need to extra actions like Filter, Formatter etc as workflows are usually personalized to user’s needs. Hope it helps!
