Slack users can't access public Zap using "New Pushed Message" trigger

I set up a zap that leverages the Push message to Zapier feature in Slack. When i try to run the zap, it works fine. When other users try to run the zap, they get an error message saying “Heads Up! There are no workflows (zaps) using the “New Pushed Message” trigger or you don’t yet have a Zapier account.” The Zap is saved in a public folder.

How do i set up the Zapier / Slack integration so all users can access the zap?

Thanks for the help!!

Hi and welcome to the Community, @turquoisebeth! 🎉

The New Pushed Message feature would only available for the Slack account that is connected in the Zap. In order for your team mates to also use this, you would need to set up separate Zaps (one for each individual) and connect them to each of their Slack accounts to establish their Slack connection in the New Pushed Message trigger.

That said, we do have an open feature request to expand this functionality so that it is available for anyone, not just the connected Slack account. We’ve got an existing thread in the Community tied to that feature request here:

I’ve gone ahead and added your vote to that feature request. While I can’t make any promises around when/if it will be added we’ll definitely send you an email notification once it is!

In the meantime, you’d need to duplicate the existing Zaps from the shared folder to make Zaps for each team mate. Then update the trigger step so that each Zap is connected to a different team member’s Slack account.

Hope that helps to get you pointed in the right direction. If you run into any issues or have further questions just let us know! 🙂

Hi @turquoisebeth

The error may be related to permission for using the Push to Zapier feature in Slack and/or permission for the Zap in Zapier.
