How could I use the event of putting a Shopify product on sale to trigger a Zapier automation flow? I put products on sale in the standard Shopify method ... changing both the Compare-at Price and the Base Price. I currently have that logic driving specific SKU inclusion in my Shopify 'Newly on Sale' collection, but I'd also like to use that event to generate real-time social posts. Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Hi @BellaRoad

You can try using this Zap trigger: Shopify - Updated Product

Followed by a Filter step: https://zapier.com/apps/filter/help

Hi @Troy Tessalone

Thanks! I saw the Updated Product trigger but didn't know about the Filter step, which does exactly what I need.

My next dilemma seems to be the original Shopify URL isn’t carried in the Updated Product payload? The lack of that field prevents me from invoking my URL shortener to automate a link for the social post description. Am I missing something, or is that simply a gap in the Shopify feed?

Thanks again for the insights!

@BellaRoad

Try adding a Shopify Find Product Zap step to see if that returns the desired data point.

@Troy Tessalone

Worked like a dream once I used ‘Find Products by Title (With Line Item Support)’

End result will be fully automated social videos on IG, FB, TT and YT in real-time for every product I put on sale. The Zapier ecosystem is magic!

Thanks for your insights!
