Question

Send login credentials from Thrivecart tp SendOwl or DPD

Hi All,
We sell e-books and things through ThriveCart.
When someone buys an e-book, we want to send them to SendOwl or DPD to receive the e-book, because then the e-book gets stamped on each page with the customer's name.
I can send them to SendOwl or DPD without any problem, but the customer needs to log in on that site, too, to download the e-book for free (since it is already bought on ThriveCart).
So, I want Zapier to send login information to SendOwl (or DPD) so the customer can arrive directly at the download page instead of being forced to log in again.
Can anyone solve this?

Thank you

Anders

Hello, direct login credential transfer might not be supported out of the box due to security reasons. Most platforms would prefer secure login processes.

You might need to work within the limitations of what SendOwl or DPD's Zapier integration offers, which could mean setting up a customer with the necessary details but not directly providing login credentials.

An alternative to this could be:
Sending an email through Zapier with instructions on how to log in or providing a one-time link for download. This could be done by adding an 'Email by Zapier' step where you can customize the message with the user's details.

  • You could write something like "To log in, go to [Your Login URL] and use the following credentials: Username: [User's Username], Password: [User's Password]". Replace the placeholders with dynamic data from your trigger or a previous step in the Zap if available.
  • If you're providing a download link, you would need to ensure this link is generated or provided by another step in your Zap or from your trigger app. Include this link in your email body, e.g., "Download your file here: [Download Link]".
