Hi,

I have a product feed from a supplier that I need to perform a search and replace on to replace stock levels.

The supplier uses the following in their spreadsheet:

Low Stock

In Stock

Out Of Stock

I need to replace the above with numbers instead so I can import them into our order management system. So I need to do a periodic search and replace to swap out “Low Stock” for say “2”. “Out Of Stock” for “0”.

I’ve managed to get Zapier to save their feed as a CSV file on Google Drive but can’t seem to get Zapier to perform the search and replace.

I’ve tried using a combination of Files by Zapier and Formatter but I can’t seem to work out how to do it.

Is it indeed possible please?

Thanks

Justin

Hi @JustinN

It would be helpful for us to have more context by providing these:

  • specific examples to help use understand which cells from File A should be updated on which cells in File B
  • screenshots from the GSheets involved
  • screenshots showing how your Zap steps are outlined and configured in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible

Hey @JustinN, just checking in to see if you’re still needing any help with this!

If so, it sounds like you might need to use a lookup table for this. A lookup table could be used to convert the values received in the spreadsheet into the corresponding numbers that your order management system is expected. You can learn more about this in our Create lookup tables in Zaps guide.

Hope that helps. If you run into any issues or found a different solution, we’d love to hear from you! 🙂
