Is there a way to save an actual gmail email to google drive? Not the attachements, the actual email. Saved as .eml or .msg?

Ps. Not as a plain text version, I want to save the actual HTML email.

Hi @gertm!

As far as I can tell, there’s no way to save Gmail HTML emails to Google Drive as .msg or .eml.

I’m no expert in those file formats but based on what I’ve been reading they relate to MS Outlook and/or Apple Mail and not Gmail.

There’s actually a Chrome extension that converts the email to .eml format.

I even checked CloudConvert to see if that could be an in-between step but it doesn’t seem so.

MAYBE there’s some way to use a code step, doing something like what’s mentioned in this Stack Overflow post, but that’s beyond my skill set.

Noted thanks.
