Salesforce integration with lead ad connector

Hi,

The instructions for connecting to SF from zapper (How to Get Started with Salesforce on Zapier), appear to be too simplistic.

For example what if you have multiple sandboxes, does Zapper let you choose which one?

Are you able to reuse a zap and change the SF environment it points too, that is go from sandbox to production so UAT is testing what has been built. Otherwise it is just a POC, if you have to rebuild  in production.

Are there any good blogs on the internet covering this?

Thanks in advance

Jules

Yes, the authenticated app account used for a Zap step can be changed at any time.

NOTE: That may result in having to remap all the fields in the Zap.

Zap Basics Article: https://zapier.com/help/create/basics/set-up-your-zap-trigger#choose-your-app-account

Some advice: when in doubt test it out.

With a Zapier free plan you can do a quick proof of concept.

Hi @Jules

When authenticating the Salesforce App in Zapier you can choose the environment as production or sandbox: https://zapier.com/app/connections

Check out this help article: https://zapier.com/help/doc/how-get-started-salesforce-zapier

For each Salesforce step in a Zap you can choose which authenticated Salesforce app to use.

Hope that answers your questions.

Give it a try and let us know.

Hi Troy,

Thanks for replying.

Still not clear as to whether the conector can be repointed to another environment after inital setup, e.g. from sandbox to production.

I like to know how things work before implementing.
