Hey guys, I am new to zapier and I’ve been trying to setup for slack a way to retrieve a message containing a certain channel mention and post that same message into a new channel, I’ve done a simple setup that consists in:

1 - Action - New Mention in Slack

    - Highlight word: #Channel_I_Want

2 - Find a message in Slack

    - Search Query: #Channel_I_Want

3 - Send Channel Message in Slack

    - Message Text: Item - Text

As far as I got this works and gets the message and posts it in the new channel but the last message that it retrieves only gets posted in the channel once a new one containing the mention is sent.

Any idea what the problem might be?

I’ve figured what I was doing wrong…
I was trying to retrieve the information directly from the “Find Message” query and that was causing it to only send the messages once a new one was sent.
After getting the information from the “Mention in slack” action I was able to set the trigger to send the message correctly.
