Renaming a Google Sheet

Am I able to rename a google sheet used in 50+ zaps without editing all the zaps involved?

If so, what are the steps? Is it necessary to turn off all the zaps?

Hi @Stinky Lockers - Thanks for the question! I’m afraid that renaming a sheet could cause errors to your Zap: https://zapier.com/help/doc/common-problems-google-sheets-zapier

The following changes to your spreadsheet whilst your Zap is turned on can cause a disconnect with your Zap:

  • Deleting existing rows or columns.
  • Adding rows anywhere other than to the bottom of your sheet.
  • Resorting the sheet.
  • Renaming/adding/rearranging new columns.
  • Renaming the sheet.

I hope this helps!

This could have been so much better explained, so people like ne could come here and learn as well. I understand that can cause errors if you rename the file. However, I am interesting in learning the solution.

  1. Just turning the Zap off and renaming the file and back On again, will be enough?
  2. the question above asks what are the steps, however no answer.
  3. Last, the questions is clear asking if it is possible to do without editing all the zaps involved?

Therefore, I am posting my doubt here as I believe the answer above are inconclusive to the questions asked. I understand already that it will cause erro, but the step is just turn off and on?

Thanks
