Pushing messages between Zendesk and Rocketlane

I’m trying to sort out if this would be possible with Zapier or not, so if anyone’s familiar, I’d appreciate any input.

I’d like to set up the following:

  • New ticket gets created in Zendesk
  • Based on tags on the ticket, Zapier makes a new project in Rocketlane, include the message body content from Zendesk
  • When a member of our team comments on the project in Rocketlane, it pushes that to Zendesk as a public reply
  • When the customer posts a reply on their ticket in Zendesk, it pushes that to the existing project in Rocketlane

Hi @PhilT

Check out the available Zap app triggers/actions:

Rocketlane: https://zapier.com/apps/rocketlane/integrations#triggers-and-actions

Zendesk: https://zapier.com/apps/zendesk/integrations#triggers-and-actions

For anyone who stumbles across this post. At this time (Feb 2024) it’s not possible, so don’t waste your time.

Zapier doesn’t give you the endpoint options that you need based on the triggers in order to do this. You can do parts of it, but not the whole thing.

@PhilT

You may have to explore using the app APIs/webhooks.
