Hello!

I am having an issue getting Zapier to pull multiple images from a Slack post in a specific channel to a record in AirTable. I currently have it set up:

  1. New Message Posted to Channel
  2. Text - Formatter - to separate some text into different fields using -

  3. Create Record in AirTable

I am guessing I need to use Looping but I have tried and can’t seem to figure out how to get the record to capture multiple images.

Any suggestions?

Hi @Emmers89

Are multiple images come thru as part of the DATA OUT from Slack in Step 1?

Post screenshots to show us the structure of that data.

Hi,

Thank you for the reply, I do not have a DATA OUT portion to share in Step 1. The first time I see DATA OUT is in Step 2, the formatter for splitting the text string.

In case it is helpful here is that:

@Emmers89

There is definitely data returned from Step 1, so post screenshots of that data structure.

Also, posting screenshots from an example in Slack will help provide context.

I can post the whole thing but is this what you’re referring to?

From Slack’s side, the user will post the problem through a Slack Workflow form:

Take the information from the post (user, the How can I Help? info, in this example I just wrote “-loop” and then the images.

Then populate an AirTable record: (you can see it only grabbed the first image)

@Emmers89

In your example, the images are added as Files to the Message in Slack.

Try this Zap trigger: Slack - New File

Hi @Emmers89 👋

Were you able to get things solved by using that New File Slack trigger as Troy suggested?

Keen to help get things up and running so please do let us know if you need any further assistance on this! 🙂
