Possible to send custom emails by connecting to mobile app via API?

I am developing an app and I wanted to send users customized emails based on the completion of key user flows [ downloading it , adding a post, customizing their profile, etc… ]. 

Is it possible to automate this custom email process if I have an API key to communicate with my app?

App APIs can be used in Zaps with the Code app or Webhook app.

    Hello Troy. Thank you for the advice!  I was looking at tutorials for the Zap code block and there seems to be limited literature on the subject.  Would you be able to direct me to documentation which will help me link my AWS back end with this code block?
