i would like to ask you a (fairly) simple question:
Can I develop my own Freshdesk Zap so I wont have to use the Zappier as platform/subscription etc or even if I can develop one I will need to use it as a service?

Otherwise, app APIs can be used in Zaps with the Code app or Webhooks app.

Creating your own integrations and self hosting it is very much possible. However you have to be really good at coding and you mush have expertise of various products to host it and Integrate API’s. You will have to multiple services and products to integrate, host,etc. There are are many tech business i know who integrate API’s on their own and host on AWS,etc.
If i may, I will suggest you one thing. If you are not an engineer and don’t have time to write code, create custom integrations and hosting it, etc than you should use Zapier.
