Pipedrive - Zap to create deal and client from Email, how to also assign the new client to said deal?

Hi everyone,

We have created a zap that converts an email submission into a Pipedrive deal, creates the contact (with details from the email) and a few other things. I am not sure how I can then get the new contact to automatically assign to the new deal?

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi @GDA,

Here’s how to do that:

  • Trigger: Email Submission, you have this part configured, right?
  • Action 1: Find a person - enable Create new person if not found and map everything that is necessary
  • Action 2: Create a deal - in the person field, go to the custom tab, select the person ID found from the Action 2: Find Person

That’s it, it’ll assign the person to that deal.
