Hi,

Getting into Zapier, exciting new world of possibilities 😀

I’m using TypeForm for the subscription of new clients and I’d like Zapier to automatically create a new Google Drive folder named with the field ‘Company name’ of the Typeform. The folder should be accessible to the email given in the ‘Email address’ field of the Typeform and an email with the link to the folder + some more text to be defined should be automatically sent to the client. The email thread should include the name of the client filled in the field ‘First name’.

So Typeform > Google Drive > Gmail but I struggle to see how to use fields of the Typeform for my purposes.

On top of that, based on the client’s answers, I’d like to make custom documents based on a template available in the new Drive folder. Could I use ChatGPT to create that document and have it upload directlly on the Drive folder as well?

Many thanks for your help,
Sebol

Hi @Sebol,

Welcome to the Community.

Your workflow of Typeform > Google Drive > Gmail is doable. You can set it up to create a new Drive folder using the company name from Typeform, share it with the client's email, and send a Gmail message with their name and folder link. If you want to generate a custom document with ChatGPT and upload it to the folder, add steps to create the doc based on Typeform answers and then upload it to the Drive folder—just make sure the folder is created and shared first.

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any other questions or need further assistance.

Hi @JammerS,

Thank you for your feedback.

The problem is that I only see certain Typeform fields when trying to customize the Google Drive folder name to ‘Company name’. Pretty generic fields but not mine and I see no way of making the Company name field appear here. Any thougts?

Thanks,
S

Hi @Sebol,

If you're having trouble accessing the 'Company Name' field from Typeform when setting up a Zap to create folders in Google Drive. To fix this, ensure the field is properly set up and required in Typeform, run a successful test on the Typeform trigger to pull in sample data and click 'Refresh Fields' in the Google Drive step to update available options. Also, confirm the field is text-based and correctly mapped in your Zap, as folder names in Google Drive must use text fields.

I hope this helps clarify the situation. Feel free to ask if you have further questions or need additional assistance.
