Question

"Needs an Action" error when publishing the Zap

I have a zap from Typeform to Zapier Tables. The data that is entered into the table I need to have zapier reformat a few fields before the output step as the data is added to a report.

Basically the data the table receives is “2” and I need to reformat it to “(x2)”

I have selected the field on the Table and selected Formatter » Text » Replace and while it says its doing the right output Zapier wont allow me to publish it as it “Needs an Action”

Hi @NikkiVB

For us to have more info, post screenshots with how your Zap steps are outlined and configured in EDIT mode, along with a specific example for us to follow.

Try using a combo of a static value and a dynamic variable like this: x[VAR]

@Troy Tessalone

I dont know exactly what you want a screenshot off. The setup is straight forward but it wont allow me to publish and says “Add an Action”

@NikkiVB

A Formatter step cannot be the last step in a Zap.
