2. the invoice is automatically sent to the customer via whatsapp
3. customer data is stored in Kommo as a new contact
I am not sure if step 2 or step 3 should come first. Need some advice in this area.

If all of the information you need for Steps 2 and 3 are contained in the triggering event (Step 1), it doesn’t matter what order you put them in. You can even do a Paths step and run them in parallel.
However, if data for Step 3 depends on data output from Step 2 (or vice versa), then that’s the one that needs to go first.
Thank you David for the prompt reply. May I know for step 2, what app should I be using? Is it HitPay or Whatsapp? or should I be using Kommo?
I’m guessing it should be whatever software creates the invoice.
@theh2therapy the limitation you’re likely running into is with WhatsApp. WhatsApp’s Zapier integration is very limited, mainly because WhatsApp personal and WhatsApp Business accounts can’t be automated, as there’s no API access.
If you want to automate WhatsApp for sending invoices or for marketing, you’ll need a WhatsApp API account, and it’s best to manage it via an official Meta Business Partner such as Twilio.
I’ve set up something like this for my own business, since clients in Singapore and elsewhere in SE Asia tend to rely heavily on WhatsApp for communications. In my case, it’s more complicated because I’m routing all the WhatsApp messages to and from my agency’s Slack workspace. If you just want to use it for outbound messaging to customers for notifications and/or marketing, it’s a much simpler setup.
If you’re interested in learning more, just let me know.
