Need help setting up voice AI agent

Hi Zapier Community!

I am a newbie to Zapier and am trying to set up the following workflow

Every time I receive a Facebook lead, I would like for my retell voice agent to give them a call.

Once the call is complete, I would like for the call records from retell to be emailed to myself

Additionally, if the call is not picked up, I want the retell agent to continue to follow up until they get an answer.

I understand that this probably isn’t the most simple workflow set up but I would appreciate any help I can get!

Please clarify what questions you have or what issues you have when trying to configure the Zap steps.

You can search Zap apps here: https://zapier.com/apps

Each Zap app has a profile page that lists the available triggers/actions and help links.

The issue I am running into is having my voice AI agent follow up if the call is not picked up. What workflow can I use to make that happen?

 

Right now, I have the following set up

Facebook lead → Retell AI agent calls → We get an email summary of the call

I would like for the Retell agent to follow up multiple times a day until they get an appointment set, but I do not know how to configure my zap to make my agent follow up

I hope this helps clarify my issue

Thanks for your question! You can automate follow-up calls with your voice AI agent using the proper setup, which is possible with Zapier. Start by identifying missed calls, often indicated in email summaries or logs from Retell AI. Use this as a trigger in your Zap, then add a "Delay by Zapier" step to schedule the follow-up. Next, configure an action to trigger another call via Retell AI. To simulate multiple follow-ups, create separate Zaps with different delays. Finally, monitor and tweak as needed, and reach out to Retell AI for any advanced support or options.

Hey! Yep, you can do this with Zapier.

Set up a Zap to trigger when a Facebook lead comes in → send the lead to Retell for a call. Then, if Retell supports sending call results or recordings, you can trigger another Zap to email that to yourself.

For missed calls, you’ll need Retell to send a status (like “no answer”) — then use a Delay or Loop in Zapier to retry the call until it’s answered.
