Hello!
I currently have built out a bunch of paths/nested paths in order to check if a Shopify order includes certain items and then assign the quantities of each respective item to a column in Monday.com. This is very painstaking and probably not scalable, at least the way I have it currently setup.
The main issue is that the Shopify orders come in unorganized (they aren’t alphabetical or anything), so I have thus far created a path for each order of items possible (once again not scalable).
I have a feeling there is a simple way to do this but unsure which way to go. Some thoughts are:
1. Using a line itemizer + paths and/or some sort of alphabetical organizer
2. A line itemizer + looping (i’m not entirely sure how this works) + paths (check each line item against each path so each line item should end up in the right column)
Hopefully this makes some sense, thanks in advance!
Hi
Welcome to the Community.
To streamline organizing Shopify orders into Monday.com columns, consider using Formatter by Zapier to convert line items into lists for better data organization and Paths with Filters to check for specific items in orders, reducing the need for multiple paths. For advanced workflows, use Loops with Line Itemizer to assign each line item to the correct Monday.com column or automatically employ Lookup Tables to map product names to column names.
Hi
I just came across this and wanted to check in to see how things are progressing? Did Jammer’s suggestion of a lookup table help to reduce the need for so many paths or did you find a different solution?
Want to ensure you’re all set here so happy to help if you’re still stuck at all. Just send over some screenshots showing the current Zap set up so we can get a better idea of where you could make some changes—please be sure to remove/blur any personal details first.
Thanks, I look forward to your reply!
