I have set-up 2 Zaps

for newly added Zoho CRM contacts to be added to Mailchimp

for any update to a Zoho contact to also be passed on to Mailchimp

However if you deleted a Zoho contact, it does not delete them in Mailchimp, also the email opt-in status is not update nor carried over even if selected in Zoho to

Help please

@KOTL

A trigger for updated Zoho contacts won’t trigger when they are deleted as that’s a seperate action. Sadly Zapier doesn’t have a way to trigger on deleted contacts.

As for mapping the opt-in state - you need to click the elipses, set to ‘Custom’ then map the status field from Zoho.

Hey @KOTL,

I don’t think it’s possible to trigger on deleted records CRM contacts from Zoho through native Zapier triggers/ actions. But there is a workaround by using Webhooks in Zapier action. Here is a Zoho CRM documentation about Webhooks- https://help.zoho.com/portal/en/kb/crm/automate-business-processes/actions/articles/webhooks-workflow#List_of_Fields_in_Webhook

For subscribing or unsubscribing from Mailchimp side you can use, Add or Unsubscribe action.

After you create Webhook in Zoho CRM, you can catch that webhook in Zapier using Catch Hook trigger from Webhooks in Zapier. Here is helpful article about getting started with Webhooks in Zapier- https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496083355661-How-to-get-started-with-Webhooks-by-Zapier. I know it can get a bit more technical and complex but if it’s important for you, you can give this approach a try. Hope it helps!
