Hi all,

I’ve got an issue using the Looping by Zapier.

When it runs, to update my Leads in Salesforce, it only appears to update one lead and then ignores anything after it.

I thought that looping would update the first lead and then update the next lead which fulfilled my search criteria, but this doesn’t seem to be the case.

Can anybody give me direction on how I can use looping correctly - so that it updates the leads in Salesforce which match my search criteria?

If you are testing the Zap step in the Zap Editor, then that is the expected behavior to only process the first loop.

Why do I only see one loop when I test my Zap?

When you test a loop action, the Zap will only create the first loop.

It will not create any other loops during the test.

When the Zap runs live, all loops will run and appear in your Zap History.

Thanks for your response - I understand that about testing, but I set my Zap to run on a schedule and it only updated the first lead.

For us to have context, post screenshots showing how your Zap steps are outlined and configured in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible.

Check your Zap Runs history details to see the DATA IN/OUT for each step to help you troubleshoot: https://zapier.com/app/history/

As I’m new to Zapier - I may have things a bit ‘wrong’ here, so any advice is greatly appreciated.

My Zap
 

First node is a schedule, which I have now updated to monthly.

The second node Runs a Query in BigQuery which works well, as it returns expected data in the test.

The third node is the Looping by Zapier and here is the configuration:

Trim Whitespace is set to ‘True’
Loop iteration counter start is 1
Maximum number of loop iterations is 500

The next node is to Find the Lead in Salesforce:

 

 

And the final node is to update the lead:

Issue is in Step 5 for the field: Lead to Update

You have it set to a static value, meaning the same lead will be updated for each looping iteration.

Use the h...] button to change to “Custom” mode, then map the ID of the Record from Zap step 4.
