Troys links were helpful and I will use down the road to get more organized. I really need a way for the people who sign up to a PayPal. subscription to get put in the right list and taken off when they unsubscribe.

Have you tried a PayPal Successful Sale trigger followed by a Mail Chip Add/Update Subscriber?  This is a high-level zap flow suggestion, so you may need other steps.

In the Mail Chimp triggers and actions I see a term “Audience”, is this the “list”?  This may be a difference in terminology.
