I put in place a count for sent messages on a specific Slack channel to make sure the team regularly post on it.
I used the classic trigger from Zapier to count new messages in the channel, and I extract the date of the message and the author to count by team member and per month.

However, some of them tested the limit of the system by sending the same message many times and removing it as it would still add to the count.

I’m looking for a way to track deleted messages (same, with date and author) just to balance the count.

This trigger does not exist in Zapier.

Any idea on how to proceed?

Thanks

Hi @Matthieu

Good question.

There is no Slack Zap action for deleted message.

You’d have to explore using Slack Webhooks: https://api.slack.com/events/message/message_deleted

You can use this Zap trigger: Webhook - Catch Hook

That will provide the webhook URL to configure in Slack.
