This post was split from the topic:

Hi I am trying to get notes and transcription from a page but am struggling to understand where this is stored.
Can anyone give me some basic pointers on this, im an it admin (not a developer) and struggling to find where the data is buried.

I feel like im meant to be looking through the blocks of the page for the data and follow the chain of blocks one by one to get the data?
Ive attached a picture of the actual fields i am looking at on the page that im trying to access

Thanks,
Martin

@mangoman unfortunately, Notion's API doesn't yet support accessing the contents of an AI meeting note block. So, there's really no way to pull the notes or the transcript content from the meeting block via a Zap or any other sort of automation.

My clunky workaround in the meantime is that whenever I need to run an automation, for example, triggered by clicking on a database button, I first copy all the content from the meeting note block and then just paste it into the regular page body. Then run my automation and then I'll delete the copied content.

It's not ideal, but there's not really anything else we can do until/unless Notion makes AI meeting note block content accessible via the API.

Hi and welcome to the Community, @mangoman! 🎉

Hope you don’t mind but I moved your comment out into a new topic since you were asking about AI Meeting Notes blocks specifically.

I had a look into Notion’s API documentation and agree with @DennisWF - those type of blocks don’t appear to be supported yet, likely due to AI Meeting Notes still being a beta feature

I’d recommend reaching out to our Support team to submit a feature request to be able to access AI Meeting Notes block content once Notion adds it to their API capabilities. That will help us track demand and prioritize adding that functionality once Notion updates their API to allow access to that type of content.

Hopefully the workaround DennisWF suggested will work for you in the meantime 🤞
