I need to create a zap that will run daily, but the meat of it is i need to count how many entries occurred within the past 7 days of a sheet with multiple singular entries (each row is an entry), and then out put that number?

Im not sure which combination of formatter and sheet actions i need to properly perform this?

Hi @GSIAlex

Which sheet app are you trying to use in the Zap?

Sorry, sheets by google.

Hi @GSIAlex

May depend on how your GSheet is configured and what data points are logged.

There would need to be a data point to use to find rows by such as a date value.

Zap action: GSheets - Lookup Rows

An alternative would be to use Airtable.

Airtable has the ability to link records across Tables.

Concept would be to link all records to a “Dashboard” Table.

Then you can use a Count field type and configure the field settings to only include records within the past 7 days.

That allows you to check a single “Dashboard” Table record to get the current count by using this Zap action: Airtable - Find Record

Thanks tony, the only issue im really having is the filtering option here. It seems ive figured this out, just now, but im cheating...decided to use a central bot lol.

I appreciate the help, i got sick of messing with filter for 3 hours to figure this out, the bot took 3 minutes.

That’s great news @GSIAlex! We’re glad to hear that using Zapier Central helped you figure out your desired workflow!
