Integrating Docusign with Knowify for seamless work order signing
We are using Knowify for managing Service Jobs and dispatching etc for our business and are having issues with how work orders get signed by the customer from the technician at the end of the work day or when the job is complete. Currently Knowify has a signature field on the summary screen but there is no way to send that to the client via email etc it has to be done in person. Its a big step in our work flow that we need to resolve. Ive been looking at using Zapier to connect with Docusign to take care of this although Im struggling a bit with where to start.
Has anyone using Knowify come across the same issue and found a work around?

Hi @lfdoyle
Which Knowify Zap app trigger are you trying to use?
I would guess it would be when a Service Job is marked complete. When technicians do that from the app a summary screen is presented and that screen has a signature field. The problem we have is that we need to be able to send that for signature via email or text and not just in person.
I saw another post here where they were doing it from Hubspot but I realize that the document template is created in docusign and is just triggered from hubspot. We’d definitely want to be sending a summary of the job details to any template in Docusign we send out for signature and then include back in the documents section of the job details. So any suggestions on how to start this would be really appreciated. Im very new to Zapier so kinda struggling with the steps in this workflow.
@lfdoyle
Most automated workflows are unique to the project requirements.
You likely need 2 Zaps to handle the sending from Docusign and track the signed document back into Knowify.
STEPS
Trigger: Knowify - Service Job Marked Completed
Action: cAPP] - AEVENT]
Steps are TBD based on the requirements and availability/format of the data from Knowify
Action: Docusign - Send Envelope Using Template / Document
Hey @lfdoyle,
Just checking in to see if you were connect Knowify to Docusign. The flow you described is entirely possible in Zapier. As you are new, I can understand it can get difficult. Please find the screenshot below on how your workflow will probably look like in Zapier-
You might also need to add a Formatter step to parse the data from the trigger. By using a filter action, you can decide which specific service jobs you want the workflow to run. Hope it helps!
