How to use use Slack Channel Creation as a Trigger?

I’d like to use channel creation as my trigger. So whenever a channel with a certain pattern is created, ie “p0-yyyy-mm-dd-incident-name”, I’d like to post a link to that channel in our #incidents channel.

 

I didn’t see a way to do this natively with Slacks Workflow Builder, but i wasn’t sure if Zapier could do it either.

Try these Zap steps:

  1. Trigger: Slack - New Channel
  2. Action: Filter
  3. Action: Slack - Send Channel Message
