Getting acquainted with Zapier capabilities, and hitting a wall with the “Find Event in Google Calendar” Zap. At that step, an event may be found and the test completes without and error, but there does not seem to be a way to take the data of the event returned from that search and use it in the “Update Event in Google Calendar” Zap. All the fields come up empty. The “Update Event” Zap requires an input for the event it should update, but there is apparently no way to channel the search results there. So the question arises -- what is the “Find Event” Zap for if it can’t be used to update or modify a specific record?

I found the solution to this problem. You have to feed the Google Calendar event ID into the update Zap. That appears to be the only field that will pass the test.
