Does anyone know of a way to use Zapier Formatter or other tool to get the week number from a date field or {{zap_meta_human_now}}?

Hi @Jay Graves

Good question.

Can you clarify how you are counting the week numbers for a year?

What day of the week is considered the start? (Sunday or Monday)

What is considered the first week? (e.g. the week that has the 1st, or the week that has the first Thursday thus the 4 days and the majority of a week)

You’d likely have to use a Code step for this: https://zapier.com/apps/code/help

I also recommend submitting this as a feature request via a ticket to Zapier Support: https://zapier.com/app/get-help

I am looking for this exact solution as well.  Any updates would be great. Thanks

Hi @Nick with TEAM

Good question.

Really depends on how you determine weeks as there are a few different methods used.

  1. Can you clarify how you are counting the week numbers for a year?
  2. What day of the week is considered the start? (Sunday or Monday)
  3. What is considered the first week? (e.g. the week that has the 1st, or the week that has the first Thursday thus the 4 days and the majority of a week)

@Troy Tessalone ,

Thanks for the detailed inquiry on my need.  Our week calendar starts on the first monday of January.  This upcoming monday (4/4/2022) will be the start of our Q2.

A Code step can be used to calculate the week based on that logic: https://zapier.com/apps/code/help
