Very new to Zapier.  We would like to setup a zap for a created invoice in Autotask to flow that invoice to Quickbooks, but assign the class that matches the customer.

Does anyone have experience doing this that would be willing to help?

We would like to start tracking by class in Quickbooks online.  We have the classes setup and are tracking expense by these classes, but our invoices flow in from Autotask.  Inside of Quickbooks, we would have to edit each line of an invoice to set class.  It has been suggested to use Zapier to set the class for these invoices.

We have attempted to set the zap, and the programs all talk.  We just don’t know the best way to map this to get it to work.  In other words, what do we use in Autotask to completely flow the invoice to quickbooks and how do we set to match classes to customer in Autotask.

Thanks in advance.

Hey @CFO Drew,

Here are all the actions/ triggers for Autotask- https://zapier.com/apps/autotask/integrations

Your sample flow will look like this-

  • New Invoice Autotask Triggger
  • Create Invoice Quickbooks action

For matching the classes, you may have to use Lookup table or some custom value in Autotask. This is a sample flow and you may also require other actions like Filter, Formatter etc as workflows are usually personalized to user’s needs. Hope it helps!
