How to stop the title from duplicating in HubSpot when using Wix forms with Zapier

I have a contact form in our wix hosted website. I constructed the form from scratch in wix. I have a zap connecting this to hubspot to create a contact in hubspot. On the wix form, I placed a long answer text box that has a title line and then a box for customers to describe what they needed. I noted that the zap carries over the title and puts that in the hubspot box along with the information that the customer entered. Is there a way to stop the carry over of the title of the text box to hubspot?

Hi @Evan C.

For us to have more info about what you are referring to, post screenshots showing:

  • how your Zap steps are outlined
  • how your Zap steps are configured in the CONFIGURE tab while in EDIT mode
  • an example of what you mean by the title line being carried over

Wix Forms often sends the Long Answer label prepended to the user's response, so the title ends up inside the value that lands in HubSpot. The simplest fix is a Formatter by Zapier step set to Text > Replace: map the Wix long answer into it, put the exact label text (including the colon and space) in "Find this text", and leave "Replace with" empty so only the customer's answer comes out. Map the Formatter output to the HubSpot field instead of the raw Wix field, and run a Test step so you can see the cleaned value before saving. If the label varies or includes trailing spaces, Text > Trim in Formatter is a quick follow up before the Replace.
