How to Split a Bill Unequally in Splitwise

I Create an Expense in Splitwise when a Row is added to an Excel Spreadsheet. I can split the Bill equally between selected Participants but have not found a way to split the Bill unequally.

Has anyone found a way to do this?

You may have to use the Splitwise API for further control: https://dev.splitwise.com/#tag/expenses/paths/~1create_expense/post

App APIs can be used in Zaps with the Webhooks app: https://zapier.com/apps/webhook/help

Hi @AndrewH

Good question.

Check the field descriptions for the Zap action: Splitwise - Create Expense

@AndrewH

The Participants section expects the ID of the Participants, rather than the amount per Participant.

Thanks yes this was the conclusion I came to. The description of the Participants infers that the Bill can be split unequally. I just could not find a way to do it.

‘Explicitly list all users involved in this transaction. Whatever user is listed first is the person who paid for it. Only needed if you're not splitting an expense equally between all members of a group. Note: you must specify a Group and/or Participant(s).’

This is my first Zap and I’m not sure I’m ready to take the step to using the Webhooks developer tool. Though no doubt it could be achieved this way. Thanks again.
