Hi,

I’m using Zapier Webhook, here I have the action with the PUT request which returns 409 http status code in one of the cases.

Currently Zap apps Stops and display the error message for the particular Action step.

Now I want to send mail mail through Zapier if http status code is 409. So can we send mail if Zap stops running due to Error or apply some filters for checking the http status code?

Thanks,

Saurabh

Hi @saurabh

Try Zapier Manager app: https://zapier.com/apps/zapier-manager/integrations#triggers-and-actions

Use the Trigger: New Zap Error

Hi @saurabh

While the above solution will work, it seems to only work for a short amount of time until the error is no longer deemed as “new”.

A more sustainable solution would be to go into zapier settings, check the box so you will get notified by email about errors. And then set up a zap that triggers off of that email based on the email address and subject.

Hope this helps.
Happy Zapping! 🤓

Thanks @Troy Tessalone

New Zap Error works fine, but is there any way to set custom error message (with some dynamic data) for Zap. So that I can catch this error message in New Zap Error trigger and send it via mail.

@saurabh

No, the error messages come from the apps.

However, you can set a custom error message in the email you send via a Zap.
