Is there a way to pull a Shopify order note in Zapier? Seems like a basic thing that should be possible but I can’t find any evidence to suggest it’s possible, or that anyone else has ever asked. I’m trying to have order notes import into Notion and have everything set up fine except for this one thing.
Hi
Help us have more info about what you are referring to by Order notes by providing screenshots of an example from within Shopify.
Also, post screenshots showing how your Zap steps are outlined to give us more context.
Can do! I’ve put a red box around the order notes I’d like to pull. And is this what you meant by Zap step outline? I’m new to this!

Oh boy, second image didn’t attach. Here’s the shopify order!
Notes should be a data point returned in the Zap trigger: Shopify - New Order
Make sure you are using an example order in the Zap trigger step that has notes, so you can search by the notes value to locate the variable to map.
Otherwise, try adding a Zap step: Shopify - Find Order
See if that returns the notes related to the order.
Thanks for the suggestion!
I think the issue was that when I try to test the trigger with a selected record, later actions don’t update with the selected record and don’t test properly. I tried to test adding notes in Notion with an order that had a note, but it pulled a different record that didn’t have a note, so I thought it wasn’t working or wasn’t possible. Going in to try this again was when I realized.
I wish there was a “test” button that updated all the actions in a zap instead of having to manually go into each action and click “retest step.” Is there a way to do this?
