I am looking for a way to replace a list of ISO country codes with its full country names. I.e. CH should be replaced with Switzerland, IS is being replaced with Iceland etc. See: https://countrycode.org

I was wondering if this is possible with a Python script or something like that (it’s a bit complex to do this with a Zapier Lookup table). 

How can I achieve this?

I’d suggest creating/maintaining a GSheet or Airtable to function as a Lookup Table.


Hi @Troy Tessalone that’s a great idea. But how can I assign the values? Can I use the Zapier Formatter for this? I.e. something like that:

If value in Airtable column 1 = CH
then assign get value in Airtable column 2 (= Switzerland)

These are the searches to use for each app

  • GSheets - Lookup Row
  • Airtable - Find Record

 

For example, find/lookup CH, and a match would return a data point with Switzerland that can then be mapped to future steps in the Zap.


@michael291 - You might want to do it with a JavaScript code step. The code expects one input variable named countryCode.
