I did some digging and it looks like comments aren’t an available field for the “Updated Issue” Jira trigger.
This appears to be a known bug that I added you as an impacted user to. This will ensure you’re emailed once a fix is in place - we’ll also be sure to keep the thread updated as well!

I can’t seem to find a way to sync chatter from a Salesforce case to a Jira bug comments or vice versa.
