Question

How to integrate GoCardless with Shopify using Zapier to allow SEPA payments and handle discounted first-month payments?

Hello everyone,

so we are selling subscription boxes in our german Shopify Shop. Our current payment providers are Shopify Payments, Klarna & PayPal. However because a lot of customers ask to for monthly payments via SEPA, we made an account with GoCardless. GoCardless only works with Shopify via Zappier.

I have following question:

  • You probably can not help with this one: How to show the payment method on our Shopify Check out?
  • Which zaps do I have to implement so Zapier works with GoCardless as soon as a customer is picking SEPA as payment method? Like: Customer checks out picking SEPA and ideally is being directed to GoCardless to fill out his Information.
  • Since the customer has to let GoCardless know the amount of the monthly payment.. but what if  the customer has a discount for the first month and pays the full price in the coming months?

Thank you !!

Hi @kenan

Good question.

Zaps work between apps.

If you are trying to adjust/redirect the user behavior during checkout, then that would have to be configured in the app itself.

Available GoCardless Zap app triggers/actions: https://zapier.com/apps/gocardless/integrations#triggers-and-actions
