Question

How to handle duplicate emails in Zap without upgrading to a paid plan?

I need help.  I have a zap to add an email address to my mailing program.  The current zap fails if the email address is already on the list.  Can I just let this run?  The error says I have to put in a filter to branch but that makes the zap not wok in a free account.  My charity can’t afford the subscription.  What to do?

Hi @Pete from Kitty Quarters

To help us have more context, post screenshots with how your Zap steps are outlined and configured in EDIT mode.

This is simple.  If I get a new contact on my website, add the data to Verticial response if the email is not already in VR.  If it is, stop.

No matter what I do, I cannot configure it properly so it will only use one step otherwise the charity will have to pay $200/year to do this.

There is a Zap setting for Error Ration Override to “Keep Running If Error Occurs”, but that requires a Zapier paid plan to be turned ON.

so there is no way to make this work without a paid plan which we cannot afford?  We are a pure 501(c)3  charity

You could explore using a different email app that has Zap app actions that support what you are trying to do in Zaps with only 2 steps.
