Question

how to forward an email but omit some data

This is my first time using zapier. I have a website that has a contact form. When a customer fills the contact form and hits send, myself and another business owner gets an email with the information that was entered into the contact form. The email also has the website link where the form came from.

I want to create a zapier that sends an email with the information that was entered into the contact form except the website link. In other words, I would like to omit the website address from the email.

How would I go about doing this?

Please let me know if you need more info to help me figure this out.

Hi @egreene16026

What app/plugin/extension/add-on is being used for the form on the website?

Once you know that check to see if there is a Zap app integration for that tool here: https://zapier.com/apps

Otherwise, you’ll have to parse emails…

Parser by Zapier: parser.zapier.com

Mailparser: https://zapier.com/apps/mailparser/integrations

Thanks Troy. So I’m not sure if I’m setting this up right. Should the trigger be getting a new email in email parser? If so, what should the action be in order for me to get gmail to send out an email with the extracted info from the parser?

  1. Trigger: Parser - New Email
  2. Action: Gmail - Send Email
