How to disable a legacy Zap set up by a past employee/vendor without their Zapier login? sigh...

We have learning management software that integrates with MailChimp

We can’t determine how the data is getting into Mailchimp but suspect that since both systems integrate with Zapier that it might have been set up by a past employee or vendor.   We know data is coming from one into the other automatically, but can’t see anything to confirm how that is happening.

No one knows who set it up or has a zapier login.

Now we are changing CRMs.  We would like to use Zapier reintegrate from the LMS to the new CRM using Zapier since both use Zapier.

But first, we need to figure out how to undo the past Zap (which no one in our organization has any institutional knowledge about) or at least confirm that’s how the data is moving now.

Advice?

Hi @rumipumi ,

First of all, glad to hear you’re interested in using Zapier 🙂

This can be tricky if you don’t have an indication of where the data is coming from. Have you reached out to MailChimp support to see if they have any way to know how the data is being added? They might be able to give you more information from their logs.

Keep in mind that if the data is being sent to MailChimp through an integration like Zapier, it would have to be connected to an active user account. If all users in your account search the email they use to log in to MailChimp, they might be able to find an account confirmation email from us, for example, or any clues that lead you to find the account.

I hope this helps in pointing you in the right direction!
