I did some digging and looks like we actually have an existing feature request for a “Delete Row” type of action to be added to the Microsoft Excel app, which was discussed previously over here:
I’ve gone ahead and added your vote for that. We can’t make any promises around when it might become available, and it has been around for quite some time, but we’ll be sure to notify you if and when it does.
In the meantime, the only known workarounds would be to:
- Move the spreadsheet over to a different app like Google Sheets or Zapier Tables for example, which support the deletion of rows/records
- Or use the Update Row (Microsoft Excel) action that Adil suggested to clear the values in the Excel row
